Update: Program Cancelled

 

The White Lake Webcam Program ran successfully for over three years providing views of the surrounding hills for early wildfire detection as well as weather cameras for those travelers and absentee homeowners. The project now requires a new round of fundraising to upgrade and maintain physical components and to cover the ongoing server and website related fees. Unfortunately, there is not the same level of community support in 2024 as opposed to 2021 because the threat of wildfire currently feels less urgent now than it does in a hot and dry summer. Our fundraising efforts didn't even cover 1/5th of the required funds ($3600) to extend the project another 3 years. Thank you to everyone who supported the project in the past and currently.
